BEST SHOWS TO CATCH WHEN VISITING THE FILLMORE NEW ORLEANS IN APRIL 2023, INCLUDING TYLER CHILDERS, THE REVIVALISTS, LEWIS BLACK, AND MORE
In a city entirely captivated by entertainment, hospitality, and the arts, live experiences thrive. New Orleans hosts some of Louisiana’s most quintessential music festivals, tours, and one-off shows. This April, The Fillmore’s calendar boasts something enjoyable for all.
The Fillmore New Orleans
The founders of The Fillmore New Orleans modeled the venue after its original location. In San Francisco, The Fillmore served as a rock music hub in the 1960s and 1970s. Now located at Harrah’s Casino in the convention district, the venue is conveniently within walking distance of the French Quarter, Super Dome, and Convention Center.
The Fillmore hosts private events such as weddings, receptions, and corporate parties but is famed for its extensive calendar of live events. This April, the lineup has everything from comedy acts to local superstars.
Stavros Halkias
To kick off the month, The Fillmore is hosting Stavros Halkias’s The Fat Rascal Tour on April 7. The Greek-American comedian is most famously known for his role in “Salesmen.”
Tyler Childers
Hailing from Kentucky, Tyler Childers brings his weathered country Send in the Hounds Tour to New Orleans on April 14, 2023. His famed song, “All Your’n,” won a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance. With support from Wayne Graham, Childers is sure to wow the crowd.
Lewis Black
Stand-up comedian and actor Lewis Black is bringing his Off The Rails tour to New Orleans on April 16, 2023. Black holds a Grammy Award for the best comedy album. His rants about current cultural events will have the crowd roaring with laughter.
Seven Lions
On April 19, 2023, electro house icon Seven Lions will make his Fillmore debut. The Journey III Tour will, according to LiveNation, “challenge and evolve the current melodic bass and dubstep sound that Seven Lions helped pioneer.”
Hardy
For those wishing to experience country music’s most acclaimed songwriter, Hardy’s The Mockingbird and The Crow Tour will do just the trick. The American country singer has written award-winning songs for Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, and Morgan Wallen. The show takes place on April 21, 2023.
Ministry
Metalheads shouldn’t miss industrial music pioneer Ministry, with Gary Numan and special guest Front Line Assembly. On April 27, 2023, the Grammy-nominated band will take the stage for a night of head-banging.
The Revivalists
Formed in New Orleans, The Revivalists never fail to perform an inspiring, passionate performance. After a long day at Jazz Fest, an air-conditioned concert is a perfect segue to a late night out. Coinciding with the first weekend of Jazz Fest, the show will occur on April 28, 2023.
